Powertrain Updates Arrive with 2019 Ford F-150

The 2019 Ford F-150 has arrived, and it brings some exciting updates with it. Truck enthusiasts in the area will be happy to find out the new F-150 offers some new power options under the hood.

Diesel Power: For the first time, the F-150 is available with a diesel engine. The 3.0-liter Power Stroke turbo diesel engine puts up some impressive numbers. It cranks out a stout 250 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque. That lifts the truck's towing capacity to 11,400 pounds and payload capacity to 1,940 pounds. Unencumbered, trucks with this engine can achieve up to 30 mpg highway.

New Standard Engine for Limited Trim: The High Output 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine has made an all-star out of the F-150 Raptor. Now, it's standard in F-150 Limited as well. The top F-150 trim now offers 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque.

It's not only power updates that arrive with the new model, however. Ford has equipped the 2019 F-150 with standard Forward Collision Warning with Emergency Braking across the board.
